wvCast | Cast Web Videos to TV 1.0

This application enables users to effortlessly cast their preferred web videos from mobile devices to their televisions. The setup process is straightforward, requiring minimal effort to initiate playback on a larger screen.

Instructions for Use:

1. Allow the app to detect a compatible TV connected to your Wi-Fi network.
2. Utilize the built-in web browser to select and play a video.
3. Click the Play button located in the Videos tab to initiate casting to your TV.

Supported Video Formats:

• MP4
• HLS:
  • Combined audio/video streams
  • Separated audio/video streams
  • Video-only streams
  • fMp4 streams
  • Live streams across all the aforementioned formats
  • Streams encrypted with AES-128 & AES-sample for all listed combinations
• MP3

Compatible TV Models:

• This application is compatible with most smart TVs manufactured from 2013 onwards, including but not limited to:
  • Samsung ('13+ models)
  • LG ('12-'16 models; note that '17+ models are not supported)
  • Access
  • Panasonic IV+
  • Recent Sony models
• The application operates on the basis of open DLNA interoperability standards.

Unsupported Formats:

• The application does not support casting of DRM (digital rights management) protected content.
• FairPlay videos are also incompatible.
• (Live) audio-only HLS streams and MP3 live streams cannot be cast.
• The app does not support subtitle functionality.
